~Lighthouse Project~
1) For this project, I felt that it would be important that I kept a visual diary of everything I did and why I did what I did. Firstly I built a Western style house since, during my research the architecture seemed to be a big and noticeable factor of the Western culture. Especially since after the gold rush, places like California were beginning to become habited by people and people started to build on the landscapes around mines, where they believed gold would be commonly found.
2) I decided to add a log pile because back in this period people had to rely on finding their own materials in order to live.
3) I created a few more houses with the similar wood panelling as can be seen in images of western-style towns, Even when it came to the windows I used thin blocks to keep the theme of panelled wood.
