Rules of Composition

Rules of Composition

1 - Rule of Third

I believe this is a 'rule of third' because the main focus of the image isn't directly in the centre of the image or directly at the side, it is in between both, making it a rule of third.

2 - Framing

The main focus of the image is 'bordered' by darker trees in the foreground to make the main focus stand out.

3 - Avoid the middle

The main focus of the image isn't directly in the centre of the frame.

4 - Leading lines

I think this applies to the rule 'leading lines' because the lines of the bricks draws the viewers eyes to a point.

5 - Symmetry

One half of the image (Halved vertically) is nearly the same as the other half of the image.

6 - Patterns

The background seems to follow a pattern of circle like shapes, getting smaller.

7 - Rule of odds

Since there are three minions in the middle of the image and not four or two, it isn't like the rules of symmetry and so the idea of things being 'odd' to the eye, makes things more interesting.

8 - Point of view

Point of view is where we look at something that looks like it is from somebody's eyes or as if we are actually there.
